The Foundation of Lower Saxony and the Herzog August Library in Wolfenbuettel have joined forces to present a summer program for German-speaking pupils throughout Europe. The program dealves into history, provides experience and information about the present and thus the opportunity for its participants to discover and discuss the common roots of their European identity.
Excellent knowledge of the German language is a prerequisite for participation, as the program is conducted entirely in this language. Applications are available annually (also as downloads on our website) in the autumn season.
The selected participants stay at the Schuenemannsche Mill of the Federal Academy of Cultural Education; their study hall is the Herzog August Library .
In 2009 twenty participants will be coming to Wolfenbüttel from the 5th 17th of July. There will be lectures, group work and excursions on the topic of
»The victory of the good principle over the evil«. Religion and religious identities in Europe in the past and the present.
Further German-language information about the program is available on the program's own website here.
